This is fantastic news for everyone who enjoys attending outdoor festivals! The Spartanburg Soaring is the ideal event for you and your entire family.
Spartanburg Soaring will feature a variety of colorful flying works of art of various sizes, as well as live music, food trucks, and a maker’s market showcasing items from local craftsmen. The event also includes a “rokkaku” kite war, in which teams compete to knock down the kites of their opponents.
Event attendees are welcome to bring their own kites, and there will be a limited number of kites for sale at the festival.
The Spartanburg Soaring is a community-wide program that promotes healthy outdoor activities, inspires creativity, and fosters civic pride.
On Saturday, October 9 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, join Chapman Cultural Center for an all-day International Kite Festival at Barnet Park.
The event is free and accessible to the public, including the many international kite flyers who have traveled from Europe, Asia, Canada, and all around the United States to take part in the festivities.
