Prisma Health Resumes Walk-in Appointments

Prisma Health officials announced on Wednesday that they are resuming walk-in vaccination appointments at several sites, after halting them over the weekend due to supply availability concerns.

Officials say that walk-in appointments will resume and will continue as long as the supply is available.

Upstate locations are the following:

  • KMart Plaza near Greenville Memorial Hospital
  • Greer Hospital
  • Laurens Hospital
  • Oconee Hospital

They will also accept walk-ins for individuals who need their second dose of the vaccine and walk-in appointments will be handled according to what vaccine supply is available that day.

“While the surest way to receive a vaccination is to have an appointment, we know that many don’t have computers or emails to register themselves,” said Dr. Saria Saccocio, Prisma Health’s Chief Ambulatory Medical Officer, “We’ll have staff on-site every day to personally help register people 70 or older who do not have computers or emails to make an appointment. If vaccine is available while they are there, we’ll vaccinate them the same day, as well.”

Walk-in availability updates will be available beginning Thursday on the Prisma Health webpage at http://www.prismahealth.org/vaccine.

Also beginning on Thursday, call center officials will be able to guide people to walk-in sites by calling 833-2-PRISMA (833-277-4762).
