A Sandwich Supplier Company Will Establish Facilities In Greenwood County Creating 300 Employment

A $38 million worth of investment is expected in Greenwood after a Minnesota ready-to-eat sandwich supplier announced plans to establish operations in the county.

E.A. Sween Company, a leading supplier in the ready-to-eat sandwich industry based in Minnesota, will establish operations at 5730 Highway 25 N. within Hodges.

According to the company, the new Greenwood County operation will create 300 jobs in the county and will be essential in helping the company double its sandwich production capacity. The company expects to produce an additional 75 million sandwiches per year once the facility is fully operational.

“E.A. Sween Company’s decision to locate their newest facility in Greenwood shows that the Upstate continues to be a key location for food and beverage companies. Our region’s proximity to consumer markets and logistical advantages, combined with an available, trained workforce, makes Upstate South Carolina an ideal location as companies look for an East Coast location. Congratulations to Greenwood County on this great win,” said Upstate SC Alliance President and CEO John Lummus.

The Greenwood facility is projected to be operational in the third quarter of 2023. To learn more about available job positions at E.A. Sween Company, visit easween.com/careers.
