The Greenville Drive And The Blood Connection Are Celebrating Ten Years Of Partnership With A Series Of Blood Drives

The Greenville Drive and The Blood Connection are marking ten years of saving lives together.

The partnership began in 2013 with the goal of raising awareness about the importance of blood donations. Following a decade of partnership, the two organizations seek to increase blood donations in the Upstate by holding a series of blood drives at Fluor Field.

TBC and the Greenville Drive have established a goal of collecting 356 units of blood over the course of six blood drives.

The following is the Fluor Field blood drive schedule:

  • April 11 || 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • April 20 || 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.
  • May 20 || 12p.m. – 5p.m.
  • June 17 || 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • July 21 || 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • August 12 || 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Donors will receive a unique Raglan baseball t-shirt, a clear bag, and two tickets to a future Greenville Drive game. The Blood Connection is offering a cumulative “thank you” gift as an added incentive for people who donate consistently to the Greenville Drive. Donors who donate blood three times during the season to the Greenville Drive will get a special “Lifesaver” baseball jersey. Donors who make two or more donations during the season will be invited to a donor appreciation event in August at Fluor Field.

Donors are welcome to walk in, but the organizers definitely recommend that they schedule an appointment at thebloodconnection.org/Greenville-Drive.
