The Arts Center of Greenwood invites Pre-Kindergarten through 12th-grade students and their families to the 2nd iMAGINE Lakelands STEAM Festival on Saturday, October 16th, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The festival is a celebration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) for the counties of Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda, with the goal of creating meaningful experiences that promote a culture of lifelong learning and career readiness.
iMAGINE STEAM Festivals aims to inspire the imaginations of PreK-12 students and encourage their desires to pursue 21st century STEM careers by providing up-close engagement with the latest technology and exposing them to high-skill sectors through interactive learning activities.
The festival takes place in Uptown Greenwood, stretching from the Arts Center down Oregon Avenue to the Uptown Market.
The event is free and open to the public. Food and refreshments will also be available for purchase from local vendors, who will offer a wide variety of delicious treats.
Attendees are advised that because it is an indoor event, masks are required and will be provided if necessary.
