Residents and families are invited to attend the city of Greenville’s Clemson MBA Fireworks on the Fourth at Unity Park.
The third annual event will take place July 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. The fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. Live music will also be performed at the Prisma Green starting at 6 p.m.
Ten food trucks will also be available during the event including HipBurger, Cluck Truk, Common Pops, The Nooble Lady and more.
A news conference was held June 27 to announce the event’s details. Greenville City Council member John DeWorken said it will be an exciting event that embodies what Greenville is about – bringing people together.
Capt. Mike Yearout with the Greenville Police Department explained Hudson Street and Mayberry Street will be closed starting at 3 p.m. next Thursday. The trolley will be running from 5 to 9 p.m. and from 10 to 11 p.m. to pick up people at the Greenlink Transit Center at 100 W. McBee Ave.
It is recommended that people use the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail to walk to Unity Park from downtown due to limited parking. Yearout said there will be a 15- to 20-minute delay after the fireworks show to open back up the trail. This is due to the cool-down time needed in case any fireworks shells on the ground haven’t gone off.

“Attendees may bring chairs, however, smoking, firearms, pets and alcohol are prohibited at the event. Additionally, to keep the event safe for all, pyrotechnics in any form including sparklers are prohibited.,” said Taylor Talbot, sales and marketing manager for the city’s parks, recreation and tourism department.
