The Upcountry History Museum is hosting the first national touring exhibition dedicated solely to fairy tales, which will run through September 19, 2021.
The timeless tales of “Beauty and the Beast” pull visitors into creatively imaginative settings of interactive learning, from a giant’s castle and a magical beanstalk to an African jungle and a pumpkin coach. In this one-of-a-kind exhibition, children and adults may explore the astonishing settings of six popular stories from around the world, each of which is brought to life in a large-scale environment.
The goal of this bilingual (English and Spanish) exhibition is to engage visitors in a unique educational experience that transforms traditional storytime into a three-dimensional, fully realized world. As they literally walk in the footsteps of their favorite characters, children will understand the core essence of each tale.
Greenville, South Carolina’s Upcountry History Museum is located at 540 Buncombe St.
The Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays beginning June 6.
