The Fountain Inn Farmers Market will reopen on May 2nd for its 11th season and will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon until August 28th.
This year’s season will have the most vendors than ever before, with 38 seasonal vendors and 15 weekly applicants. Fresh vegetables, seafood, locally made pimento cheese, a wide variety of baked goods, and several local crafters are among the vendors.
The market is held in Fountain Inn’s Commerce Park, at 110 Depot St., under a covered pavilion. COVID limitations from last season will be implemented again this year.
Monthly market activities are the following:
- On the first Saturday of the month, a guest chef will prepare something from the vendors and give samples.
- On the second Saturday, they will hold a yoga class in the park.
- On the third Saturday, there will be a kid’s activity, such as zucchini races and make-and-take art projects.
- The fourth Saturday of each month will feature local non-profits, a shred day, and a health fair.
The Coffey House Group is the market’s presenting sponsor this year, with Ryan Homes as their merchandise sponsor and an AGSouth Farmers Market Grant.
This year, a Fall market has also been added, which will run from September 18 to October 23.
