The city of Greenville officials proposed a scaled-down version of the TD Saturday Market. The popular farmers market in downtown Greenville usually opens on Saturdays of May but due to the COVID-19 crisis, the TD Saturday Market will open its season on June 6, 2020, as the TD Essential Market.
The modified version of the Saturday Market will continue to offer fresh and local essential grocery items while still maintaining health and safety guidelines.
The market will only allow 40 of the market’s 83 vendors on-site each week, and only 175 people will be allowed into the market at a time. Shoppers can only enter and exit on McBee Avenue. There will be no sampling or prepared food for onsite consumption. No music, entertainment, cooking demonstrations, or public seating areas setup within the market site either.
Vendors, city staffers, and attendees will all be required to wear face masks and have their temperature checked before entering the market. For more details, click here.
