Escape reality and join the fun at the 2nd annual Upstate Renaissance Faire. Bring your family to a fun-filled day of activities that will transport you to a time when knights, beautiful maidens, and sea sirens prowled.
Hosted by The Spinning Jenny, the event will take place at Greer City Park on Saturday, September 10, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Spend the day mingling with people who are dressed historically, shopping at the Medieval Market, eating, drinking, and having a good time. You will be welcomed by knights, traveling bards, dancers, and even a dragon as you explore tents filled with wonders and eat delectable turkey legs.
Started in 2021, the faire was established as a pandemic recovery activity for the community. Executive Director Sharon Murry stated that she wanted to make the event more approachable and family-friendly for everyone in the neighborhood.
You can come dressed up for the occasion and enter a costume contest, or simply enjoy watching others.
Although the event is free, VIP tickets can be purchased if you want a package that includes many of the items you’ll most likely buy at the Faire anyway.
