SCDOT closes Tugaloo Road bridge over Middle Tyger River in Greenville County

The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced July 31 it closed a bridge on Tugaloo Road over the Middle Tyger River in Greenville County.

The agency is developing a plan for structural repairs and an opening date has yet to be announced.

During the closure, eastbound drivers are asked to take state Highway 414 towards Dill Road. At the intersection of the highway and Dill Road, motorists will turn left onto Dill Road and follow the street to Tugaloo Road.

Westbound drivers are asked to take Tugaloo Road east to the intersection of Dill Road. Then they will turn right onto Dill Road and when the street intersects with state Highway 414, they will turn right onto the highway. This detour will bring motorists back to Tugaloo Road.
