South Carolina representatives pre-filed a bill in the South Carolina House that would allow individuals to opt out of mandatory vaccinations and prohibit discrimination for choosing not to be vaccinated.
Representatives from Spartanburg Steven Long, Sandy McGarry from Lancaster, Greenville Leola Robinson, and Greenville Mike Burns are the sponsors of the resolution.
If anyone refuses to get vaccinated, the bill will prohibit employers from taking any adverse workplace action, such as termination or demotion.
If the bill passes, access to shopping, healthcare, and a long list of other things would not be constrained by vaccination status.
