Spooky season is approaching again and The Press Room is saying goodbye to its Wonderland theme and waving a wand at The Wizards’ Chamber.
The speakeasy concept committed to the details, ushering in fall with the Hogwarts-themed decor. Banners and crests of the schools houses hang from the ceiling and photos of familiar faces line the walls. The entrance is adorned with Harry Potter’s patronus, a stag.
The elixirs and potions are crafted with the helpful use of the spirits. One is served using a bar-top cauldron for a gin-based treat.
The kitchen has created bites like the Acromantula Eggs – a take on deviled eggs – and recreated Harry Potter’s “Happee Birthdae Harry” cake that invokes flavors of nostalgia with classic birthday cake flavor.
Pro tip: Before entering, toss on a cloak to really get in the spirit.
The Press Room is located at 315 S. Main St., accessible from Camperdown Plaza.
