Here’s a recap of the July 9 meeting of Greer City Council.
Initial approval: Annexation, rezoning for police/fire training center
Council approved a request to annex and rezone 4.735 acres on Hood Road.
The city-owned property will be used to develop a police and fire training center.
The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing about this property July 15. This item will go before the City Council for final approval July 23.
Final approval: Rezoning for subdivision
Council approved a pair of requests to rezone 10.23 acres at 538 Abner Creek Road and 14.51 acres at 180 Joe Leonard Road.
The applicant, Arbor Land Design, plans to develop a 50-lot subdivision on 24.92 acres.
Initial approval: Annexation, zoning for Spinx
Council approved a request annex and zone 4.58 acres spread across three parcels at Highway 101 and Reidville Road.
The Spinx Co. plans to use the property to develop a Spinx gas station and convenience store.
The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing about this property July 15. This item will go before the City Council for final approval July 23.
