Miracle Hill CEO releases book on addiction, recovery

Ryan Duerk, Miracle Hill Ministries CEO and president, has released his first book, “Counterfeit Peace,” published by Lucid Books.

The memoir shines a light on addiction and recovery to attempt to answer the question, “Why do addicts do what they do?” In the book, Duerk details the story of his life and his journey to addiction recovery.

“Counterfeit Peace” highlights the work of rescue missions like Miracle Hill Ministries, which serves people experiencing homelessness, addiction and trauma.

“I am incredibly excited and humbled to share these stories,” Duerk said. “I hope that readers come away with a broadened understanding of addiction, identity and the freedom that is waiting for all of us just around the corner.”

The book is currently available to purchase online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. For more information on “Counterfeit Peace,” visit miraclehill.org/counterfeit-peace.
