Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Announces Plans For A New Hotel In Greenville

San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will soon open a new location in downtown Greenville.

The boutique hotel will be established on the northeast corner of Markley Street and Rhett Street in Greenville, South Carolina’s historic West End.

The new Kimpton Hotel in Greenville will include 170 guest rooms, 17 suites, and over 6,800 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, according to the company. A basement brewery and tap room, a ground-level restaurant, a lobby coffee shop, retail space, and a second-story pool deck will be among the amenities. There will also be an indoor and outdoor rooftop bar and restaurant at the top of the hotel.

The establishment of the downtown Greenville location will be the boutique hotel company’s fourth in the Carolinas, following Kimpton hotels in Asheville, Charlotte, and Winston-Salem.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is the original boutique hotel chain in the United States. In 1981, it was the first company in the United States to introduce the concept of unique, distinctive, design-forward hotels. Kimpton now owns and runs more than 60 hotels, as well as 75 restaurants, bars, and lounges in urban locations and resort destinations.

The Greenville location is set to completion in the summer of 2024.
