The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced Aug. 16 it will temporarily shift traffic to one lane on Interstate 85 southbound in Spartanburg County, beginning Aug. 23 at 10 p.m.
During the closure, crews will construct a new concrete lane between mile markers 79 and 80. The work is east of Gossett Road (exit 80).
SCDOT expects to reopen the closed lanes Aug. 26 at 6 a.m.
