The Convalescent Plasma in the blood of a COVID-19 survivor is known to contain COVID-19 antibodies that can attack the virus. It is being evaluated as a possible treatment for currently ill COVID-19 patients.
Covid-19 survivors are encouraged to donate blood to help in the recovery of COVID-19 patients.
The Blood Connection with its “Turn Positive into a Positive” campaign is asking COVID-19 recoveries to donate their plasma to help treat people battling with COVID-19.
Donations can be made at Blood Connection donation centers. Donors are required to make an appointment by dialing 864-751-1168.
Donors must have had a positive antibody test or a previous/documented positive COVID-19 test and must be symptom-free for at least 14 days.
