Artisphere, Greenville, South Carolina’s signature cultural event, is back for its 17th year on the streets of Greenville.
This year’s festival will take place on four gated blocks of South Main Street, from the intersection of River and Augusta to Markley at Fluor Field, and will be secured, small, and socially distanced.
After being forced to go virtual last year due to the pandemic, artists are returning to the streets for the first time since 2019, making Artisphere Greenville’s first large-scale outdoor festival in 2021.
Kerry Murphy, Artisphere’s Executive Director, is looking forward to what’s to come.
“I feel like we’ve been working on this for quite some time, but I think folks are really excited for the return of Artisphere presented by TD Bank,” said Murphy.
The festival will kick off this weekend from noon to 8:30 p.m. from Friday to Sunday. The event is timed and ticketed for a two-and-a-half-hour time slot. Tickets are $5 per person and can be redeemed for Artisphere credit at the gate, which can be used to purchase art at the festival.
Artisphere is dedicated to ensuring that patrons can enjoy this much-anticipated family-friendly festival in a safe environment. To control crowd size, the event will be gated. Handwashing and hand sanitizing stations will be available, and masks will be required. Reminders on social distancing will be displayed on the festival grounds.
