Greenville Ranks Top 10 For Best Places In The US To Retire

Greenville was ranked no.10 of the best US places for retirees to live and work according to SmartAsset.

The personal finance website has examined data from 525 U.S cities with at least 65,000 in population. They looked on population above the age of 65, the unemployment rate for seniors, housing costs as a percentage of retirement income, the estimated tax burden for seniors, crime rates, and access to important amenities like retirement communities and medical centers.

“Greenville stands out for its high concentration of medical centers and retirement communities, its low estimated tax burden for seniors and its affordable housing costs compared to the city’s average retirement income,” said SmartAsset spokesperson Kara Gibson.
