Greenville Literacy Association’s Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale Returns in August

The Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale is back for its 20th year!

This year’s book sale will be on August 7 to 8 at McAlister Square, 225 S. Pleasantburg Drive, with a preview party on August 6.

“We are thrilled to welcome the community back to McAlister Square for an in-person event and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale,” said GLA executive director John Jaraczewski. “One bright spot of the coronavirus pandemic is the time it has afforded people to clean out their closets. Our inventory is strong and we expect to have more than 100,000 used books, DVDs and CDs as well as some vinyl records for sale.”

The book sale will begin with a Preview Party on Friday, August 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., allowing customers the opportunity to shop the sale before it opens to the general public. Tickets are sold for $50 each and it includes wine and hors d’oeuvres.

Tickets for the Preview Party are available for purchase here.

The following is the event’s schedule:
