Greenville Holds Shredding Event This Weekend

This weekend, the City of Greenville will hold a Shredding & E-Waste Recycling Event, where residents may dispose of unwanted electronics and have sensitive documents securely destroyed and recycled.

The shredding and recycling event is free and will take place on Saturday, May 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Public Works site, located at 475 Fairforest Way.

There will be four shredding trucks stationed on-site, and they will take paper on a first-come, first-served basis until the trucks are filled.

Residents who wish to participate are reminded that all paper to be shredded must be bagged or boxed. Each person are limited to three large garbage bags or three small boxes of paper.

Residents and businesses can also drop off the items listed below, with a maximum of 10 electronic items per person:

  • TVs
  • Computer monitors
  • Keyboards
  • Mice
  • Wires
  • Circuit boards
  • CPUs
  • Scanners and printers
