Greenville Firefighters Invite You To The National Fallen Firefighters 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

A National Fallen Firefighters 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will be held in Greenville.

The event will be held to honor the 343 firefighters who perished in the terrorist strike 20 years ago, and each participant will climb 110 stories, the equivalent of the World Trade Center.

The event is free and open to the general public and will be attended by firefighters from the city of Greenville as well as community supporters.

An opening ceremony takes place at Fluor Field at 8:30 a.m. The stair climb will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The public can register as a team or as an individual online until September 1. On-site registration will be available beginning at 7 a.m. on September 11.
