Greenville County Schools Will Shift To Attendance Plan 2

Greenville County Schools will move to Attendance Plan 2 beginning the week of September 7. The decision was based on continuous improvement of the Greenville County Spread Data metrics reported by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.

Under the plan 2, students who have opted for in-person instruction go to school two days a week and are on eLearning the other three days.

Blue and Green attendance groups will attend in-person school on Monday and Wednesday. Red and Purple groups will go on Tuesday and Thursday. On Fridays, all students are on eLearning. In this attendance plan, approximately 50% of the students are at school each day.

For the week of September 7, Blue and Green attendance groups will only attend in-person school one day (Wednesday) due to the Labor day holiday.

GCS does not announce the Attendance Plan weekly. Announcements about the attendance plan are made when there are changes. Attendance plan 2 will be in effect until further notice.

The goal of GCS remains a return to full-time, five-day-a-week attendance as soon as it is safe to do so.
