On January 7, the Greenville County Library System will host its annual Local Author Expo from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The 2021 Expo will take place virtually due to the pandemic situation.
Despite the virtual setup, the participants will still have the opportunity to speak with the authors during the Q&A session.
Among the featured authors are Paulette Alden, Ellyn Bache, Anne Blythe, Evelyn Everest, Paul Michael Garrison, Emily Golus, Colleen Hall, Sally Handley, Emily Martin, Charles Pate, Jr., Jordan Poss, Deb Richardson-Moore, Kimberly Simms, Kathryn Smith, and Susan Zurenda.
“Each of the authors will be speaking for a few minutes, giving their elevator pitch about their books, their writing process, then at the end, there will be a Q&A so you still get that one-on-one with the authors even though it’s virtual,” said Rachel Inabinet, Adult Outreach & Event Coordinator for the library system. “If anyone is an aspiring writer, this is a chance to pick their brains to see how they got published and how they focus their work.”
The 2021 Local Author Expo is sponsored by the Emrys Foundation and the Friends of the Library.
