This summer, Paris Mountain State Parks offers family hikes on Fridays. An outdoor summer family event where families may get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors while making summer memories.
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., hikers can join a ranger on a nature walk and wade into Mountain Creek, or search for dragonfly nymphs, salamanders, and other animals.
The park is located at 2401 State Park Road, Greenville, SC 29609, and will hold the Friday Family Hikes beginning June 25 through August 13.
Hikers are required to register, and registration costs $5 per person plus park admission. Social distancing is expected with a limit of 25 people.
Water shoes are available, but in limited supply, so hikers are encouraged to bring their own.
Park admission is $6 for those aged 16-64, $3.50 for those aged 6-15, and $3.75 for those aged 65 and over. Children under the age of five do not have to pay admission; they just have to pay for the program.
