The Greenville Drive, BMW, Michelin North America Inc., GE Vernova, Greenville Technical College and Greenville County Schools have teamed up to host the ninth annual Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Night at Fluor Field June 25.
The event will feature more than 25 interactive exhibits on the stadium concourse showcasing various manufacturing and engineering content including machine learning and technology, automation, mechatronics, 3D printing and scanning, computer manufacturing and engineering design. The 2024 exhibitors include BMW, Michelin, Greenville Technical College, GE Vernova, Greenville County Schools, Milliken, Bosch, Bosch Rexroth, Duke Energy, Dodge Industrial, Arthrex, Ryobi and Wauseon Machine.
Students will have the opportunity to join the Young Innovators Club, an incentive to visit all the exhibits, and have the chance to win prizes and experiences.
AM&E Night will also feature a panel discussion with industry leaders Ericka Suber of BMW, Shane Long of GE Vernova, Kelvin Byrd of Greenville Technical College and Jason Loftis of Michelin. During the discussion, panelists will speak directly to students and parents about how to pursue careers in advanced manufacturing and technology.
“At this annual event, students and parents can hear from industry leaders, educators, and apprentices about the opportunities that are waiting in advanced manufacturing and engineering,” said Keith Miller, president of Greenville Technical College. “It’s wonderful to see families interact with technology and get excited about these very promising fields.”
Ballpark gates and the stadium concourse open at 6 p.m. The panel discussion in the 500 Club begins at 6:15 p.m. and first pitch of the Drive game against the Hickory Crawdads is scheduled for 7 p.m.
