Feed & Seed Co. Is Establishing A food Innovation Hub In Greenville

Feed & Seed Co., an upstate nonprofit organization, is poised to launch its food innovation hub in the Judson Mill development this spring of 2022.

Artisan Food Solutions and Feed & Seed Co. are teaming up to expand access to healthy local foods and build a sustainable food system in the Upstate. The Food Innovation Hub is a multi-purpose facility designed to support the local farmers and the community. As a one-stop-shop, it acts as a ‘concierge’ filling the gaps and increasing access to fresh, affordable local food.

“I think it’s an additional step to getting local products to the next level,” said Adam Sturm, a culinary consultant with Artisan Food Solutions. “We’re not only just working as a food hub but we’re also working as a location for the community to get together and to help create ideas and products that we can utilize all the local food.”

A green market with prepared meals, produce, and other items, a community area for farmers and other education sessions, freezer and refrigerator space, and a warehouse with processing facilities will be part of the food hub.

According to Feed & Seed Co., the food hub is expected to open in early April. Visit www.feedandseedsc.com for additional details.
