Upstate cities Greenville and Spartanburg have voted to extend their face mask ordinances.
The ordinance will be in effect for another 2 months unless further action is taken by the cities.
The city of Spartanburg requires everyone entering a grocery store or pharmacy to wear face-covering while in Greenville they require people entering a retail establishment to wear masks.
They will impose a fine of $25 for non-compliance with the ordinance.
The city of Spartanburg requires employees in restaurants, retail stores, salons, barbershops, grocery stores, and pharmacies to wear masks when having face-to-face interaction with the public. While the city of Greenville requires employees of all retail establishments, salons, barbershops, and spas to wear a face-covering while having face-to-face interaction with the public.
Non-complaint businesses in both cities will face a $100 fine.
