Euphoria Greenville, the Upstate’s premier food and wine festival, takes place Sept. 19-22.
The full lineup includes a horde of James Beard nominees and Michelin-rated chefs, as well as rousing entertainment. As excitement continues to build, here are a some of the events with tickets still available as of Sept. 11.
Thursday, Sept. 19:
- 10 a.m. Cycle and refuel: A 30-mile bike ride with two-time Olympian Christian Vande Velde begins and ends at Hotel Domestique just north of Travelers Rest with lunch at the hotel’s restaurant, Restaurant 17
- 5:30 p.m. Bubbles and bonbons: A classroom event offering a peek into the world of wine pairings with local wine distributor Mission Grape and West Greenville’s LaRue Fine Chocolate at LaRue’s flagship location in Poe West
- 6:30 p.m. Pass a Good Time: This guest-chef dinner is held at Fork and Plough in the Overbrook neighborhood. The dinner will be a collaboration between Fork and Plough’s chef, Shawn Kelly and New Orleans-based chef and owner of Zasu.
- 7-10 p.m. Aged to Perfection: This is a bourbon-focused signature euphoria event. This year will see a new venue for the party at Events at Judson Mill. Aged to Perfection kicks off the four-day festival.
Friday, Sept. 20:
- 7 p.m. Party in the Park: This signature euphoria party takes place each year in Fluor Field.
Saturday, Sept. 21:
- 10 a.m. Grow and Graze: A lunch and learn beginning at M. Judson Booksellers with a walk through the farmer’s market and ending with Chefs Katie Chaney and Teri Yungblood at the bookseller’s Camilla Kitchen.
- 11 a.m. Bring your a-game: An instructional classroom teaching its participants to elevate their tailgate with Chef Keith Roberts at the Culinary & Hospitality Innovation Center in West Greenville.
- Noon: Feast by the Field: The signature party in Fluor Field includes cooking demos, food and drink samples
- 12:30 p.m. Chef’s table: A classroom taking place at Cook’s Station with chef Craig Kuhns to teach participants about different salts and how to use them. Additional seatings also take place at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
- 1 p.m. Prost!: A survey of German beer culture takes place at The Whale in downtown Greenville
- 3 p.m. Reign of Terroir: A wine seminar at Fluor Field’s Champions Club that teaches all about both new and old world wines including their terroir, or the area they are produced
- 3 p.m. Where to Be-gin: A survey of the liquor world’s most botanical spirit takes place at downtown Greenville’s Vault & Vator with North Carolina’s Durham Distillery.
- 3 p.m. Grows Together, Goes Together: A wine-and-cheese-pairing classroom takes place at The Community Tap on Wade Hampton Boulevard.
- 6 p.m. Seeing Stars: A Michelin-starred dinner with Curtis Duffy of Chicago’s Ever Restaurant, Johnny Spero of Reverie Restaurant in Washington D.C., and James Bingham of Moody Tongue in Chicago in collaboration with local chefs Nico Abello and Kyle Swartzendruber of Table 301. The dinner will be accompanied by wine and take place at Soby’s New South Cuisine.
- 6:30 p.m. Sweet Home Carolina: The Lazy Goat’s chef Beau Owens teams up with FARM in Bluffton’s chef Brandon Carter for a meal that celebrates South Carolina. It will take place at The Lazy Goat.
- 7 p.m. An Unbeetable Fusion: A plant-based dinner hosted by local chefs Jennifer Barone and Nick Barr. Bar is executive chef Chai Pani in Asheville, North Carolina. The event takes place at The 07 on Laurens Road.
- 7 p.m. Coast to Coast: A guest chef dinner taking place at a pop-up location with Chefs Curtis Hillard & Lindsay Beck and SC Chef Ambassador Orchid Paulmeier of Hilton Head Island’s One Hot Mamas.
- 7 p.m. Unexpected Expectations: A collaborative dinner with cocktail pairings between Woodside Bistro’s Chefs Ken Frazier and The Anchorage’s Steve Zurkey. The event will take place at Woodside Bistro in City View.
Sunday, Sept. 22:
- 11 a.m. Feast by the Field: Sunday’s iteration of the signature event comes with a locals ticket. Those who purchased with an Upstate billing zip code will get $15 off their ticket and an opportunity to watch the Healthy Lunchtime Throwdown. The throwdown is a collaboration with four Greenville County Schools participants and a Michelin-starred chef acting as sous chef. The throwdown’s winning recipe will appear on the Greenville County School menu.
- 1 p.m. Sake to ya: A survey of Japan’s rice wine taking place at The Community Tap on Wade Hampton Boulevard
- 1 p.m. Beer Necessities: A beer classroom taking place at downtown’s Fireforge Crafted Beer offering a tour of the brewery, flavor profiles and food pairs
- 2:30 p.m. The Somm Off: A wine seminar allowing guests to go head-to-head against sommeliers to test their wine knowledge. The event will take place at Carter Family Wines on Birnie Street in West Greenville.
