Hikers, gather! Prepare to honor our fallen first responders and military servicemen at the 2nd Annual Palmetto Heroes Hike. The Wounded and Recovering Fund and Upstate Warrior Solution will benefit from this community-led hike, which will not only serve as an homage but also support two deserving NGOs. By participating in the Palmetto Heroes Hike, you will promote the well-being of our veterans and their families while contributing to their essential work.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m. for the 12-mile route and starting at 9 a.m. for the 6-mile trip. Sign up for this motivating event at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, conveniently located at 650 N Academy Street, Greenville. Lace up your hiking boots, gather your friends and family, and be prepared for a day filled with camaraderie and gratitude.
Gallabrae, Greenville
Immerse yourself in the colorful celebration of Scottish history at Furman University’s much-anticipated Greenville Scottish Games. This fun event has a variety of activities and attractions for people of all ages to enjoy including heavy athletics, Wee Scotland for kids, drumming and piping competitions, exhibitors, Scottish vendors, border collie sheep herding, Celtic music, Scottish clans, food, and Gallabrae Scottish Ale. Don’t miss the military salute featuring the SC Army National Guard Band, War Birds flyover, 21-gun salute, and Taps by Scotland’s Royal Highland Fusilier Honor Guard. Big Water Marina Live Music with Rhonda Funk, Anderson

Memorial Day Murph, Anderson
Join the 8th Annual Memorial Day Murph hosted by AAYMCA CrossFit, open to the community. This special event will commence at 7:45 a.m. and features DJ Kingdomatik, a cookout, social gathering, and an exciting after-party starting at 10 a.m. It pays tribute to Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who tragically lost his life in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005, and created the “Body Armour” workout, which he personally cherished.
The Memorial Day Murph offers a variety of heat times throughout the morning, giving runners flexibility. You can scale the workout to your fitness level or participate in a two-person team for added fellowship. The workout itself is a tough sequence, beginning and concluding with a one-mile run, with 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 squats wedged in between.
In addition to the energizing workout, you’ll have the option to contribute to a worthy cause. The earnings from the sale of “Murph” products will benefit Upstate Warrior Solution, a worthwhile group dedicated to supporting veterans in the Upstate area.

Memorial Day at 13 Stripes, Greenville
Join 13 Stripes Brewery for a unique Memorial Day ceremony and beer release. The return of Fallen Hero, a Memorial Day Red Lager honoring the gallant service of Marine Corps Lance Corporal Nicholas S. O’Brien. is the main draw. This special beer release is not only an opportunity to enjoy a tasty brew, but also to help a worthy cause. A part of the proceeds from Fallen Hero sales will be donated to Upstate Warrior Solution, an organization dedicated to aiding veterans in the Upstate region. Mauldin Memorial Day Ceremony, Mauldin
Join the City of Mauldin for a moving Memorial Day service on East Butler Road at 11 a.m. The solemn occasion will begin with a heartfelt welcome from Mayor Terry Merritt, a distinguished Air Force veteran. Pastor Carl McCluney of New Harvest Ministries Church will deliver the opening and closing prayers, setting a reflective tone.
The Mauldin High School Navy Junior ROTC will deliver the Colors with honor and precision. Be intrigued by a variety of musical options that will touch your heart and boost your soul. In addition, Charlie Hall, president of Upstate Warrior Solution, will present an inspiring address, sharing insights and reflections.
Memorial Day Ceremony, Simpsonville
Don’t miss the City of Simpsonville’s Memorial Day Ceremony at the Simpsonville Arts Center. The ceremony, which begins at 11:00 a.m., promises to be a touching homage to our lost warriors. A famous keynote speaker will give inspiring words at the ceremony, reminding us of the significance of this day. The National Anthem will be sung proudly, and an Armed Forces Salute will be given to honor the courageous men and women who have served our country.
Memorial Day Ceremony, Spartanburg
The Spartanburg American Legion Post 28 holds a solemn reading of the names event at Spartanburg’s Veteran’s Pointe Memorial Park. The event will start at 1:30 p.m. The service itself begins at 2 p.m. This important event will be held at 94 W. Park Dr., which provides a meaningful setting for honoring and remembering those who have bravely served our country.
