COVID-19 vaccine clinics are being held at Emerald High School and Greenwood High School thanks to a collaboration between Greenwood School District 50 and Self Regional Healthcare.
In an announcement made on Friday, school district officials say that students ages 16 and up, parents, and employees in District 50 will be eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine at Emerald High School on May 5 and Greenwood High School on Thursday, May 6.
Vaccination clinics will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
According to the district, parental consent will be required in order for students to receive the vaccine at their high school.
Self Regional Healthcare will administer the second dose on Friday, May 28 at Emerald High from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Greenwood High from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Employees and parents from District 50 are urged to come to the clinic between the hours of 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to be vaccinated.
