Clemson University announced July 18 it broke fundraising records by raising over $259 million in its fiscal year 2024, which concluded June 30.
The funds were raised by 40,484 donors who contributed to 107,295 gifts and included:
- Over $171.2 million in cash, pledges and gifts-in-kind.
- Over $38.5 million in 50 planned gifts.
- More than $80.5 million to IPTAY.
- Two academic cornerstone gifts of at least $2.5 million from Bo and Donna Gossett, and Joe and Cathy Turner.
- Three athletic cornerstone gifts of at least $2.5 million from an unannounced donor and the Mike Watt family and Steve Watt family.
Clemson used the funds in various ways, including establishing four endowed professorships, 106 new scholarships and one new fellowship.
“We are incredibly thankful and humbled by the continued generosity of our Clemson Family,” said Clemson President Jim Clements. “At Clemson, we know that ‘Best is the Standard,’ and it is no secret that our Clemson Family is the very best and we always support each other. Through the generosity of our donors, we will continue to deliver the No. 1 student experience in the country and transform lives through the power of education.”
In the 2023 fiscal year, Clemson University raised over $216.9 million.
