City Of Fountain Inn Municipality Cancels July 4th Celebration

On Tuesday, the City of Fountain Inn on their Facebook page made their announcement of the cancelation of this year’s July 4th celebration.

Due to the rise in confirmed COVID-19 cases locally, plus the event’s popularity with expected attendance well above a thousand people, the City cannot adequately ensure proper social distancing and safety measures to protect attendees from the spread of COVID-19.

The fireworks display will be rescheduled and paired with another community event in the future.

Last month, the City of Spartanburg also made their announcement of the cancellation of the “Red, White, and Boom” independence day celebration due to COVID-19.
