“We are thrilled to welcome Clemson University’s STEM Start participants to our Seneca site,” said Elba Lizardi, site director at BASF ECMS Seneca site. “This program is an incredible opportunity for first-generation STEM students to gain real-world insights and connect with professionals in the field. We believe in fostering the next generation of STEM leaders and are committed to supporting their journey.”

Clemson’s STEM Start initiative is open to all admitted summer-start and fall-start students from South Carolina who are first-generation college students majoring in STEM fields. Participants commit to an immersive summer experience that includes educational programs, hands-on learning, and visits to various companies and organizations showcasing STEM careers.
