On August 2 to 7, the Peace Center in downtown Greenville will present the enthralling, smash-hit Broadway musical Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations.
The jukebox musical covers the narrative of the Motown group’s journey from Detroit, Michigan to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as well as the exhilarating story of brotherhood, family, loyalty, and betrayal throughout a decade of civil unrest in America.
The group soared to the top of the charts with their distinctive dancing movements and sultry harmonies, resulting in an incredible 42 Top Ten Hits, with 14 hitting number one.
The musical, which has been nominated for 12 Tony Awards® and won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Choreography, is written by three-time Obie Award winner Dominique Morisseau, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.
