2022 BMW EV Customers Get Free 30-minute Charging For The Next 2 Years

A new partnership between BMW of North America and the charging network Electrify America has recently been announced that will provide new BMW drivers a free 30-minute charging session for the next two years from the date of purchase.

The firms will launch the free 30-minute charging program in March this year, coinciding with the sale of the new all-electric BMW iX xDrive50, BMW i4 eDrive40, and BMW i4 M50.

According to charge speeds (150-350 kW), BMW EV owners may charge their vehicles in as little as 10 minutes at any of 3,000 Electrify America chargers located across the United States. Availability of more models and new cars will be announced in the coming months.

BMW of North America President and CEO said, “The collaboration with Electrify America is one more step on our road towards a sustainable future. Charging availability is a key feature when it comes to electric vehicles. We’re excited to offer our customers access to charging that is fast, affordable, and convenient, as we launch the next generation of all-electric from BMW.”

BMW EV drivers will be able to easily and reliably locate nearby charging stations, verify charger availability, and route to the charging stations using in-car navigation, the myBMWappTM, or the Electrify America app.
