The automotive glass manufacturing company, Fuyao Glass America Inc., has announced plans to expand its facilities in Greenville County.
With a $34.5 million investment, the new Greenville site is planned to produce 121 new jobs in support of increased operations that will begin in early 2023, according to the company.
“When a global leader like Fuyao Glass America Inc. expands in our state, it shows the world that our approach to creating a competitive business environment is working for our companies,” Governor McMaster said in a statement. “We congratulate Fuyao Glass America Inc. on this expansion and are looking forward to many years of growth and success.”
Fuyao Glass America Inc.’s expansion, located at 110 Milacron Drive in Fountain Inn, offers expanded assembly operations that will install parts to auto glass such as sensors, antennas, and more.
Fuyao Group has been manufacturing and delivering high-quality automotive glass to both OEMs and aftermarket suppliers since 1987. The company holds over 1,000 patents and produces 4 million glass vehicle sets in the United States each year, making it one of the top makers of automotive glass in the world.
